An Evening at the Casbah is back with more color, excitement, laughter and magic than ever before! Ali Baba and his entourage of musicians, dancers and his full cast of characters are coming through the veils of time and magic to bring joy and laughter, food and dance to you in a BIG celebration of life! Two big shows will be presented on Friday evening July 13th and Saturday evening, July 14th at Sawtooth Ridge restaurant in Tahoe City. The doors will open at 7pm for dinner and no host bar. Mingle with friends and family while you delight in the exotic and luscious flavors of Ali Baba's home land. Quench your palate with his very special and magical drinks, 'The Red Fez', 'The Sparkling Navel' and more! With great splendor and excitement, the doors will fly off the hinges and the show will begin at 8pm. Wear your best kaftans, turbans and veils, come prepared to be swept away!

Ticket prices are $75.00 per person (adults only). You are encouraged to get your tickets in advance. Seating is limited. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Abdul and the Night from Visitors from Nevada City grab you with their high energy and completely ethnic/tribal sound. With the zorna, dumbeck and tabla drum, the traditional instruments used in the colorful, tribal-country music, you will be swept away to ancient lands.
Majinga, the magician, internationally known for his dramatic show of illusion and theater will be wowing you with his surprises.

Ed Miller, our MC is well known for his witty words and strong presence. Ed is a narrator and voice talent for both radio and television. His voice can be heard on PBS television. His series of commercials for a chain of restaurants resulted in winning the "Silver Microphone Award" for best use of humor in radio.
Joy Michiel provides us with her hilarious comedy. She has performed throughout the country with singing and comedy nightclub act. She has worked extensively in musical comedy off Broadway and on cruise ships, and has appeared in several television shows. Joy has been seen in the feature films, "Cobb," "A Smile LIke Yours," and "Dr. Doolittle".
This is just a sample of the the talent and many who have volunteered to make this show happen, to bring awareness of Lou Gehrig's Disease and help to our community.

Only when we are brought into the present with the loss of a loved one do we stop long enough to notice all the things we have missed.
John Lennon said "life is what happens when we're busy doing other things." The one thing that does happen consistently when we are in service is that it seems as though we are getting more out of giving than those receiving. This is a big clue. When we step out of ourselves to help others, what happens to our worries? Poof!! Just like magic!
This is where the real stuff is, the stuff of JOY and joy is what we get when we live our passion and through that help others experience some of this real "stuff" life is made of.
